I had a banks monster ram intake installed on my 2021 standard cummins

Ha talk about scaring the OP off! i think there's way more hate than love for Banks on this forum as well as others. I see some merits to his stuff but some of it is fancy marketing and bling so I'm in the middle I guess. I did pick up the horn but have yet to install it - mostly for the grid heater bolt issue. And if it gives me increased throttle response and some measured MPG increase I'll take it. The physics behind the thing makes sense - increases mass density etc. Although most of the marketing I see on the thing these days is about broken bolt engine failure prevention vs increased performance. To each his own...

I had a banks monster ram intake installed on my 2021 standard cummins. It was an immediate power increase.
But then I installed a stock sized K&N air filter That also made a huge difference.
I can't believe how much faster and more power it has now!
I put that same k&n on my truck. It messes with the map sensor pretty bad. I was regen like every 150-200 miles. Put the banks cold air on there back to normal if not better

Just bought one in an effort to permanent fix P2609 and resultant check engine on my newly acquired 2020 ram 3500 aisin laramie. Any resultant sensor or regen issues? Have had a 99 ram 2500 for 15 years. Lot to learn. Grateful for this resource. Joined yesterday. Hi y’all.

It won’t help.

If I did the Banks horn it be solely for the grid heater bolt.

Did that to my 80 F250 air intake . Smoked the tires so much I had to flip it back !

Gotta flip that ol air cleaner lid.

Has anybody actually ran their truck on a dyno to verify any results? I will admit that I went crazy with Banks parts mostly due to the grid heater issue. The stock air filter/CAI is impressive but replaced it anyway - was thinking 'one and done'.

The one guy that did, and showed a loss of HP, got taken down.

Thanks Brutal, from one Irishman to another, I think I may do it. Took a 500 mile trip, truck empty from Washington to Montana, over 3 mountain passes, 75-85 mph. According to the trip computer, 19.9 mpg.
The truck does seem to have a slight increase in throttle response. Oh well, time will tell.

Who took the post down??

My coworker just had his done. He had a code for it. 2016 BH.

Double R Diesel had a legit Dyno run with one. Firepunk proved the 3rd gen version wrong as well. On a dyno no one shows as far as I have seen any productive hp increases. That being said, I have one on my truck with his cold air intake, noticeable difference. Worth the 2k, debatable. It woke my truck up, and my emission system seems to run way better. I only seem to regen on the routine 24hr limit. Redneck science, the intake is just massive compared to the stock. It’s gotta make more power up top.
