How to turn off the beeping when in reverse with the tailgate down?

I have a 2015 (for now) and it's just a simple button push on the console. Stays off until I turn it back on. I can't imagine they took that feature away, I'd check in your settings

Okay, thank you for letting me, I just have to look for it now.

When you say it stays off until I turn it back on, you mean the system or truck back on?

The system, it will stay off even with turning the truck on/off. I have to go back and re-enable it, which is good because I tow often and it would be annoying to have to turn it off each time

Quick question, I haven't looked for the settings yet, but when you turn them off are they permanently off? I don't want to completely disable the parking sensors, it does come in handy time to time.

Just don't understand, they give us the option for the goose neck/5th wheel prep package, and they even give us the option of dropping the tailgate from inside the cab, one would've thought the truck could be programmed to mute the parking sensors when the tailgate is down? Hell the tailgate camera is rendered useless at that point! Both the tailgate camera and parking sensors should be disabled and the bed camera (if equipped) should default to on. I guess there's no way to program this?

The HD has no tailgate open sensor so there's no way for the truck to know the tailgate is up or down.
