I am doing a quick write up on how to file a consumer complaint against Ram Trucks (FCA). As a lot of you have followed my thread on my truck and the issues i have had. Most say trade it in and most say delete the truck, well that is not a option for some and we have paid top dollar for our trucks. This issue of Regens got under my skin and i have lost a lot of money, i have done some research on how to get Rams attention. I filed a complaint against the dealership i am working with and it rattled the cage pretty good, Now i have filed a complaint on Ram for Frequent Regens and the ability's to fix it. I cant file a complaint for everyone so we all need to do what we can. According to my DOJ if enough complaints are filed nation wide there will most likely be a big investigation on the matter.

Only file a complaint if you have any actual issues and can prove it! and you're not to do this for me, only for yourself and self interest.
This must be done in a professional manner and not kids play. No foul language or tempers flaring. The states are looking into the matter like this for us and our tax dollars and are not offering legal advice.

This is going to take quite a few people to grab some attention so if you are up for it Please file a complaint for yourself. I don't think it will help if you don't have an actual claim, i am not looking for a smear campaign so please only file a complaint if you actually mean it or have a issue with your Regen cycles. To file a complaint you will need actual proof they were working on your truck ( service records, work orders, STAR case number). the more documentation you have on your truck the better. If you have been tracking the issues send that in with the complaint.

Every state will be different per web Page.
For me I google searched "Oregon Department Of Justice" : https://www.doj.state.or.us/

Most state sites will have a direct link for Consumer protection:

Go to the Consumer Protection Tab:

Click on file complaint and Fill out Your info and your complaint.

You need to be very detailed in your complaint. any issues you have, how many times you taken it in, Check engine light. If there are any safety issues you need to put that in there. The more items you list the more RAM will have to answer! I also linked my truck thread to it and the Regen track sheet thread.
Everyone's case might be a touch different but here is what i said in my formal complaint. You will need to use your own words and not mine.

You should be given a chance to upload any documentation you have on your case. Service records, STAR case letters, diagnostics, Oil analysis and photos.

You will get a Email from the DOJ with a case number.

You will not hear back from the DOJ untill they hear back from Ram. Do not blow up their phones and emails they will call or email if they have any questions.
The people that the complaint was filed on will respond to the complaint and you will be able to see their response. The case will be closed, but does not mean it is dead. You can respond to their answers and the case will re-open and they will have to answer again.

Every complaint will be public records even if the status has been resolved and or dismissed.

I am not forcing you to make a complaint of any kind and if you decide to make one it will be on the behalf of your own self and your own interest. No false information in these complaints it will hurt anything moving forward.
