How far do the 4.5 Gen seats recline???

Hello all,

I'm looking at putting some newer seats in my 08 Ram 1500. I know the 4th gen 1500 / 2500 are a direct swap. As are the 4.5 gen 2500. A coworker has a 5th gen 1500 and I was able to test out his seats at lunch. They're very comfy and recline all the way back, almost flat. This would make napping really nice. Do the 4.5 gen 2500 seats recline this far?

Can anyone confirm if the 4.5 gen 2500/3500 seats recline as far as the 1500 seats in the picture above? The 5th gen 1500 seats will require cutting and welding of the seat brackets. The 4.5 gen HD seats will bolt right in to my truck. I'm hoping that the HD seats will recline like the 1500 seats do.

My 2022 2500 power drivers seat does not recline that far.

Driver's seat all the way down, all the way back and all the way reclined. Driver's side back seat is all the way up.

And just in case any further clarification was needed, the front seat is all the way back and fully reclined. The rear seat cushion is not an obstacle. For reference my truck is a 2024 Rebel 2500.

Thank you gentlemen for the pictures and insight. It looks like the 4.5 gen HD seats, recline almost as much as the 1500 5th gen. I'm guessing the 4.5 gen seats are as comfortable as the 5th gen seats. I think I'll try to find a set of 4.5 gen HD seats, so I don't have to mess with cutting and welding brackets. The 4.5 gen seats will be a direct swap into my 3rd gen, and should be a huge comfort upgrade. The 3rd gen seats might be the most uncomfortable seats ever created. I can only get an hour of seat time, before my hips and back start aching.

For reference, this is how far the 3rd gen seats recline. They feel like plywood with foam over them.
