How Did Your " VB6 " Turn Out

So I had the VB6 done on my last scheduled maintenance. I was never really happy with the way the Aisin shifted but didnt know any better as I had only owned a 2016 ram with a 68 RFE and a 2018 GMC with the Allison. After the update the transmission shift in like a dream I couldn’t even feel it change gears when I wasn’t towing, however after catching up to my car carrier and pulling 30,000 pounds the truck seems to run rougher and shift hard in the first and second or second and third I can’t really tell. Not sure if this is due to the update or something else.
It's in that 1-2, or 2-3 range, depending on load a speed, where mine gives an odd uneven power delivery that feels like the TCC going Lock-Unlock-Lock sensation. The other thing it does in the same range, but only when pulling heavy in T/H, is make a very harsh shift that shudders the whole truck.

I have not had VB6 done.

I just had the VB6 done and I agree it's better now. With normal driving the Aisin really feels matched now and really feels smoother. Less hunting, or odd jerks if you will. I'm going to be pulling 11K lbs for a 5k mile trip. Hopefully the smoother running Aisin stays that way in T/H mode. We'll see.
