Hood Vibrating at highway speeds

Here’s a link to the TSB

Flan, that’s actually a different TSB than the one I had. This one calls out using the same urethane used to install windshields, the TSB I had actually calls out using body bonding adhesive, not urethane. I’ll see if I can find the one I had.

I have experienced the same issue on my 2019 Ram 2500. I thought maybe I was hallucinating at first. Its kinda frightening to see the hood flexing at freeway speeds. Glad I found this thread.

I sent a PM to @RamCares like they suggested and look forward to an official resolution for all HD Ram owners soon.
I tried to contact then on the 20th...No Response....

We need more than documentation...We Need A Cure...!

Hello MrMopar,
As the social engagement team, we work directly with engineering and brand teams to report developing vehicle concerns in order to pursue further research. Our team documents your concerns internally in order to reach back out to you when a resolution has been surfaced.

Bought my new ram 2500 tradesman and had to pull off the highway on the way home from dealership because I thought the hood wasn't closed properly due to all the fluttering at the rear hinge area. I've never seen this on a vehicle and I've owned many.

Ford and several other manufacturers have had the same issue with their big aluminum hoods, it’s not just a Ram or truck issue. Look it up for yourself on google, you’ll find lots of people posting they are / were having the same issue.

I'm not concerned with quality issues of ford or chevy , only what ram sold me. If I Bought a ford I would be on the ford forum right now.

Relax my friend, I was just merely letting you know others are having the same issue. And if you would have read the entire thread you would have seen that there is a fix for this issue.

Thankyou, I am aware of the fix. Just want ram to be aware of the fact that we are all concerned about this.

File a Case with FCA....There should be a RECALL.

What additional support with dealer.. I've contacted RamCares they acknowledged my concern.... and POOF...... nothing crickets!

Is there support with Dealer.... IS there a Dealer fix?

I'm glad to report that my new 3500 doesn't exhibit this. I was worried about this and a few other reports I see here. Luckily this one isn't one I have. In fact, only 84 miles for sure, but, so far it's absolutely perfect. I couldn't be happier with the truck or the dealer.

My 2019 2500 also had it but now my new 3500 I’ve had since 10/22 does not have this. Snug tight!!

Hi DeVoTee,

Recently there was a STAR case released that appears to address concerns similar to the symptom that you are having with your vehicle. To ensure this STAR case applies, we would like to get you back into the dealer to have a qualified technician review the details of the case and specifics of your vehicle. Once reviewed, the technician can then perform the repair procedure that best matches the symptoms and diagnosis of your vehicle. For reference, the STAR case number you can provide to your dealer is S1923000050.

Had dealer perform TSB for 1500 hood on my 2500 and it did not work. Hood still vibrates at highway speed. I'm not accepting and am going to go a different route. Thanks for tall the feedback.
