Hood Silencer - Mopar (68363213ad)

I have a 2022 Ram 2500 Bighorn 6.7. The Hood Silencer is sagging close to the windshild and I can see a pile of fiberglass insulation under the hood between the hood and hood silencer. Does the hood silencer have that insulation? I have had problems with mice building a nest on top of the fule tank and wondering if they have started a nest with this insulation.

The securement system has sucked for a long time. They are such quiet engines I’d imagine removing it won’t increase noise all that much. I don’t think the engine heat would effect the paint more than Arizona sun would lol if you don’t want to go that route maybe drill some extra holes into the hood bracing and get some “Christmas tree fasteners” with the large base that should do the trick.
