What gears? That is probably the most important piece that no one is stating.

My truck: 2021 HO DRW with 4.10s. 100% stock.

Unloaded--16.5-17.5 MPG hand calced overall per tank--70/30 ratio of highway/city. 70-75mph on highway

Loaded--14k lbs 5th wheel toy hauler--low to mid 9's MPG at 70 mph.

My signature includes gear ratio

My dually gets around 16.5 unloaded with 4.10 gears. Hand calculated. A combination of city and highway. I drive pretty conservatively. Will know what I get towing in a week when I hook my heavy fiver up for a 1700 mile trip.

Getting 15-16mpg, 50/50 split on the type of driving SRW 72mph max on the way to work, 76mph on the way home!! 6hr ride to FL or a 12hr ride to PA both from SC and I couldn’t get better than 16.5 and only started to see that when I started driving 85mph after the wife finally fell asleep!! Bone stock, 3.73 gears, unloaded, reset the dash after every fill up.. Definitely not as good as my ‘06.5 2500, saw 18-21 with that one with just a mild tune doing all the same driving and trips!! I know the dash is supposed to lie and be higher than hand calculations but I don’t want to know the truth!!

That’s about what everyone is getting. Don’t be discouraged.

When you hammer it, the smile will come. :)

Should have kept the 16 2500 with the 6.4 Hemi!! 11mpg no matter what, $20k cheaper and for $600 sounded a lot better!!

Yeah but the hammer hesitation still scares me!! First time I tried to duck into a spot I shouldn’t have, because I now need those additional 3sec for the truck to catch up to my foot, I about **** myself!!

Guess I need a tuner, GDP MM3? Going to switch over to other thread to figure out which one. What are you running? True E-intact?

Last weekend trip from WV to San Antonio.... unloaded running 75-80
it actually got up to 23 at about 1400 miles in, I was pretty impressed, 2020 3500 HO \ Aisin, stock tires, fiberglass topper... "emissions intact tune"
Yes, I hand checked it and it was correct... View attachment 30956

That is damn impressive. Wow.

I get around 16 combined, 9.5 pulling 22K, but then I didn't buy this thing as an economy buggy.

I agree with you there but thought it would be the same as the older version Cummins. Thought the MPGs are supposed to be going up as they get more advanced!!
