Looks like the previous owner didn't keep the reducer. Is there a recommended brand to get for my 2019 2500?

Thanks!
Nathan

I can...just not many around here in stores. You recommend a certain one?

I dont need like a $250 hitch since I don't tow a ton of weight.

But I'm open to suggestions if you like a certain one.

Thanks!

I'm also a believer in using 2.5" shanks, but that's just me.

As far as which sleeve to go with, I'd probably go with a true Mopar one just because they're about the same price as generic offerings.

Reese and others make them but you have to check because the pin hole doesn't always line up with the shoulder piece they tack on to keep it from sliding in. There is a Reese piece without the stop but it's kind of a pain to use. Ask me how I know.....

If you are near Seattle by any chance you can have mine, would probably be costly to ship, it’s brand new though

I've checked the truck over. Nothing. Ill look again though. Thank you for the link and tips gang!!

I would use it as an excuse to buy new 2.5" hitches. I hate the sleeve, the tolerances stack up to quite a bit of slop and you get a big clunk every time you start and stop.

I'm also a believer in using 2.5" shanks,
I went this route a couple of months ago. Like everything else these days though, still on backorder. First short trip will be soon so I guess I will be using the reducer.

Which brand did you end up going with?

Went with a Reece for now. Needed one quickly to tow some stuff for a friend this weekend. It's heavy duty enough for now. If I need a better one I'll upgrade at a later date.

I just went with a complete Bulletproof setup with 2.5"x8" drop shank and their 2" & 2 5/16" versa ball along with the WDH adapter. Ordered Wednesday and it arrived this morning. I didn't have time to set up the WDH adapter and all before our short trip for this weekend. I dealt with Erin in sales. She was great and even waved shipping on the whole bit. I am looking forward to getting that all set up and will be selling off my 3 other hitches to recoupe some money.

Side note......I will be able to open the tailgate with the TT connected. That's a good thing on top of getting the TT leveled and weight distributed correctly.
