Here's your first 2025 Ram 2500HD on a lot

Might be in the minority but I really prefer the look of tradesmans with the black bumpers and badges to that white one. I just think they're a great starting point for modding a solid looking truck. I plan on swapping my door panels for sure tho, those plastic ones are trash.

As a bonus you’ll get Firestone Transforce tires standard.
Some things never change! Not sure which is worse, the Nexens that come on the duallies, or the Firestones. I think it's the old adage that car manufacturers only care that the tires are A) Round B) Black and C) Cheap. A & B are not really that important however.

I'm not a fan of the column shifter. Blocks a vent and would interfere with my Bulletpoint RubiGrid phone mount setup. It's a step backwards imho.

I'm disappointed that the Laramie doesn't come with the fender flares like my '16 did. I've seen some of the truck show pics with them on there, maybe I'll get lucky when it comes in?

That's not a new thing, they dropped them some years ago.

My '21 Laramie has power pedals, 1/2 driver set, in floor storage boxes, ventilated seats and fender flairs as standard. ALL off those are gone now unless you buy an optional package. Can't get the fender flairs at all and I'm not sure about all the other items as I figured out buying another newer one and didn't pay attention they took all this stuff off.

They keep taking more and more things away and charge even more.

I don't see the value in the Laramie any more versus the Big Horn. The '21 Laramie has 42k on it and the Hemi. It will be the last 1500 I buy from RAM unless they change course. Guess what you cannot do with the Hurricane, tow much of anything in the mountains as my brother, who truly regrets selling his older RAM, found out. It lives in the shop.

You can buy painted ones for a thousand though. ;)

You know now that you mentioned it, I don't see ventilated seats on my window sticker or order sheet. Had them in my '16 3500 and thought they were amazing.

Wow...Love the new design!! But, Hmmm, It does look a little familiar! LOL

We collectively hit the high water mark on features on these trucks years ago. Since then, things get quietly dropped from trim levels, while marketing folks sell us on how incredible the new 8 speed automatic is going to be, or the 1000+ ft lbs of torque. Or the spin that emissions improvements like glow plugs and hydraulic lifters are actually incredible features we should be celebrating. All the while sticker prices keep going up and up.

The most annoying thing the manufacturers do is 'bundling' similar to the cable company of years ago. I'd love LED headlights on my tradesman, Id argue that because so many vehicles have LEDs now, the flickering candles up front on the tradesman's (and bighorn trims) are borderline dangerous. But, I've got to get into an $80k Laramie before I can think of getting them standard. At least now they have LEDs standard (GM and Ford are sticking to the halogen b.s. in base trims)

The other offenders are the dealers. In Western Washington state, good luck finding anything resembling a mix of trims and features on lots. Every dealer around here orders either work trucks, or limited trims with all the boxes checked. Which worked during covid, because money was apparently no object. I wanted a mid trim GMC with a duramax when I went truck shopping last time. Nope. In all of western WA we had 5 pro trims on a lot, 1 or 2 SLE/SLTs, and over 100 Denali/denali ultimates (around $100k trucks)

I actually wanted a Bighorn 3500 with a 6.4. None were on a lot, and none were in transit. So I gave up the heated seats and settled with the garbage 3" uconnect. I'm happy they dropped that hot garbage on the new trucks as well!
