Does anyone have any experience with a 6.4 chassis cab truck? I am going to replace my 2500 6.4 megacab with a crew cab 3500 C&C, as I have realized that an 8' flatbed would make my life easier making deliveries for my side business. The wheel wells, and bed sides severely limit my ability to load the truck efficiently.
While I do not need a dually, I am going to order one, because I simply think they look better with the flatbed. I have had zero issues with my current 68RFE 4.10 combination being able to do what I need, and that is how I spec'd the truck for MD to quote. Now I am wondering if the Aisin 4.44 combo has any benefits worth considering? Obviously, fuel mileage will suffer, but I have read that its not that terrible by one account. Wondering if anyone has any input on that as well? I assume its a pretty rare combination, and have seen minimal mention of it in searches. Normally, I dont give a crap about fuel economy, as that is my boss' problem. However, with the way things have been picking up, my wife and I have been seriously discussing me leaving my job to run our business fulltime, and I dont want to order a truck that gets terrible fuel economy with zero benefit to me when I have to actually start paying for my own fuel lol.
I appreciate any input.
