I seem to be seeing a lot of posts and Facebook posts regarding heater core failures. What is the deal with that? Is it something new to the 2019+ Ram's? I've had Ram trucks since 2004, and have not seen this before.
I'm wondering if it could be the type of coolant Ram uses now? I remember when GM first started using the 150,000 mile Dexcool, that stuff was caustic! I swapped it out in my new 2002 Trans AM with Evans Waterless Coolant to prevent internal damage.
What are folks doing to prevent core failures?
