Heat blows cold on drivers side, hot on passenger side

Hello, I am a new member of this forum. I have 2 Ram 2500's (reg gas, not diesel) for my business (1 2019, the other 2021), and both of them have the same problem. When the heater is on in the truck, the driver side blows cold air, the passenger side blows hot (lukewarm on the 2021... takes a while to get hot). They are both base model Tradesmen, with single zone Heat/AC. I heard that this is a common problem, so I am not terribly surprised to see if happen on my trucks... just not thrilled that it is happening to both trucks at the same time... and during a very cold period here in lovely Ohio. I have read a variety of possible solutions including flushing the heater core, flashing the computer, replacing actuators, and replacing water pump/thermostat/radiator... I understand that it is impossible to do a proper diagnosis via a forum, but I am looking for a little guidance from people who know these trucks well, and can make an educated response based on experience. I am not a mechanic, but I feel like I am reasonably well suited to troubleshooting problems if it isn't too complex requiring specific expert knowledge. Is this an expensive fix? Should it be done a dealership, or can any decent mechanic do the work reasonably well? Should I just consider trading them in for different trucks? Thanks in Advance!

I have a new 2024 Laramie and it’s not putting out great either. My 22 1500 would heat up great.
 
It was not deleted, mods would generally send a note along if that happened.

Your first post hit a pre-approval que that site admin has setup and hadn't been approved yet.
 
Ohio gets cold? Lol. The issue is usually the heater core is getting plugged up the best course of action is to have the heater core back flushed to remove the blockage
 
It does occasionally get cold here... shocking, right? ;)
Is a heater core back flush something that can be done DIY, or does it need to go to a mechnic?

Simple to do yourself you will need some hose and fittings and CLR then with a garden hose you can flush it out easy
 
I have had the same problem since I got the truck two years ago. I flushed the heater core no change. Just a week ago I had an overheating problem, replaced the thermostat. Overheating is gone but the heater problem is of no change. I am in NH and the truck is freezing cold while I am driving. Well, at least the engine works:)
