Headlight Switch - Rotary Dial Question

Inside the cab of my 2019 Dodge Ram 2500 LB, CTD Bighorn, the headlight switch has two rotary dials sideways that roll top to bottom. One is for the instrument panel/dash lighting to increase or decrease intensity of the lighting. The other according to the owners manual is to adjust the interior light dimming. However I seem to be able to rotate this control up and down and it does nothing at all. Is this supposed to control footwell lighting or overhead interior lighting? If not working would anyone know where the lights are located and/or the fuse that would control this so I can check that? Thanks

It controls the indirect lighting. On my Tradesman this is the tiny light located in the overhead console that illuminates the center console and cupholders.

It’s the footwell lights, and the ambient (door panel and dash) lights on trucks that have those.

I will look for the small light that you mention yarnelim. So, does this switch just come installed on all trucks regardless of lighting options that maybe in my case that rotary knob is just dead at this time? I know I had to purchase another light switch that I have not installed yet for the addition of the LED driving lights, and that one has the two rotary knobs too. Is footwell lighting something then that can be added? Would there be connecting points under the dash somewhere?

The dimmer for the indirect lighting must come on all trucks. Mine is a Tradesman and it only has the light for the armrest/cupholders. I have no idea on the higher trim levels.

Yeah my Power Wagon it only adjusts the tiny little led in the overhead console that illuminates the center arm rest/cupholders

Ditto on mine and it is barely perceptible
