Ok. I found them. Changed them accordingly but there’s no change in the truck. The toggle doesn’t come up in the Uconnect settings page on the radio.
yup. That’s exactly what I have set. The app is telling me I’ve already selected that and no changes are needed.CBC Features: DRL Configuration- Optional DRL
CustSetMenu 1: Daytime running lights CSM Present- Yes

I bailed on getting the setting on the radio. I have DRL lamp location set to “none”. Now I have just the signature light strips on which was my ultimate goal.
How long? I’ve been at this for two hours. The radio takes some time to populate the the DRL toggle setting.
The only two changes that needed to be made are the two that @OuterUB just posted, then wait for a bit.
Could be an hour, could be a day. That’s the first thing about making any changes that have to do with radio settings- patience. How long? I’ve been at this for two hours.

You guys were right. I just went to pull the truck into garage and quickly checked the Uconnect lighting settings page and the DRL option is now there. I’ll give you credit jimmy, you sure know your stuff. There is no way I would have considered waiting hours for that to populate. I thought that it would populate the moment I enabled it in AlfaOBD. Good stuff guys! I’m stoked about this mod! It looks great! If you're stuck, PM me and I'll give you my cell number. One Canuk to another brother.![]()
Fogs don’t work as DRLs on the 2019+ rams.Hello again. I once again used AlfaOBD to access some DRL settings.
I left the following settings the same:
CBC Features: DRL Configuration- Optional DRL
CustSetMenu 1: Daytime running lights CSM Present- Yes
I changed the "DRL lamp location" from "none" to fog light location.
My plan was to keep the fogs as the DRLs with the option to turn them off using the toggle on the Uconnect lighting settings page.
The fogs haven't turned on tho since I performed the change thru AlfaOBD. I did this change yesterday. I have cycled the truck a couple times since then but we'll see.
I read something about the following setting - DRL Fog Light Strategy: NO - being set... am I missing this or another setting to get the fogs as DRLs?
Ahh. Ok. Thanks again Jimmy.Fogs don’t work as DRLs on the 2019+ rams.
I am looking to do this as well....More info please! ThanksI have a Ram 2019 Limited from Canada and I have turned my DRL's off just leaving the top and bottom led strips on. If anyone with a Canadian Ram wants to do the same ask away. I used a SGW bypass, OBD2 Link MX and the AlfaOBD app. Took me a while to work out what to do but could explain it to anyone who wants to do the same.
You around Red Deer at all? I can do this for you if you’re close by.I am looking to do this as well....More info please! Thanks
That would be awesome!! and much apprciated I'm In Alberta Beach but travel to Calgary all the timeYou around Red Deer at all? I can do this for you if you’re close by.
Ah ok. If you are interested in having the tools available to get into the settings, you need an OBDLink MX+ module, Kaodtech security gateway module and the AlfaOBD app on an android Bluetooth device. In Alberta Beach but travel to Calgary all the time
