I was recently searching between the big 3 to find my next truck and I stumbled across this site. Needless to say I decided to go with RAM, I hope I do not regret my decision. While I love all trucks I have always been loyal to the blue oval. My last few trucks have been F-150s and everyone in my family drives a Ford. I currently have a 17 F-150 but we are looking at getting a toy hauler for hauling dirt bikes and camping. On another forum it was suggested I first get a 3/4 or 1 ton truck for towing. I just ordered a 22 2500 Laramie Crew Cab with the 6.7, no idea when it will get here but I'm in no rush.
Thanks to everyone who posts on here particularly about prices and the new orders. I had no idea what to pay and most local dealers were charging MSRP or even 5k above MSRP, WTF!! After reading a few threads I was able to get a truck just below invoice through my local dealer. Yes, I could of saved more if I ordered from Mark Dodge but I was nervous about shipping the truck half way across the country. I am meticulous with all of my vehicles and I plan to nit pick my 22 when it arrives. If I ordered it I would of been stuck with whatever showed up when it was delivered here, not saying it would of been messed up but that/s the risk you take. Funny thing is I just retired from the USAF and I was stationed a few hours from Mark Dodge, now I am in Ohio following the wife around waiting for her to retire from the USAF. If I was still in Louisiana I would of definitely drove down to Lake Charles.
