I just bought a 2020 Ram Laramie 2500. I originally went to the dealership to buy a power wagon, but drove off the lot with that instead. I absolutely love it, but when I go to play music it's only half as powerful as the sound system I tested in the Power Wagon. Both trucks have the same 17 speaker Harmon Kardon, but with mine, I have to increase the bass to full notch to get anything out of it. As for the Power Wagon it was set to -3 and still shaking the cabin. I just assumed they would be the same, but I'm finding this out after the fact.

I've seen forums for firmware updates and service orders for 2019 trucks, which RAM is claiming they've already implemented for 2020. My truck is sitting in service right now and they're telling me they can't find any issues. I need any help I can get! What should I tell them??

Thanks,
SP

Same music source? SirusXM is known for having substandard bass/ouput.
Good question! I avoid SiriusXM for that very reason. I always stream via USB...I find it to be cleanest feed. However in this case I even bought new cables to see if it would help (upgraded to USB-C). It's as if I'm getting bluetooth quality across the board...thinner sounding.

I find my USB music sounds pretty darn good in my Laramie with the HK 17 speaker system .

You ever figure out what the fix was?
