Hey all. Dealer is recommending Hankook I*Pike RW11 winter tires for my 2021 2500 4WD Cummins Limited. I say recommending but apparently that is pretty much all they can get right now. Any thoughts on them. Specs below. Thanks.

CURRENT ALL-SEASONS: Firestone Transforce AT LT285/60/R20

DEALER RECOED FOR WINTER: Hankook I*Pike RW11 LT275/65R20

If you really need a dedicated snow/ice tire they probably aren't a bad selection. I have had good luck with a few sets of Hankook tires on various vehicles.

Ive ran hankook dynapros on every Ram I have owned, and will keep doing it as long as they make them.

Thanks. A happy customer. Good to hear. Will go for them then.

Should I worry about the specs difference? LT275/65R20 versus LT285/60/R20?

I’m not sure what you mean by worry about it. tiresize.com will usually tell you the exact real measurements for each tire manufactured so I’d check there if you want to get the real numbers. I can tell you my 325/65r18s are as wide as they say, but not as tall as I expected they would be. Short by nearly a full inch in diameter from what I expected. I assume some of that has to do with wheel specs…

I mean does it matter that they are 285s like the OEMs and 275 instead? I'm not changing the wheels themselves.

That’ll fit no problem. Just make sure the load rating is good.
