Halogen to OEM LED swap

This may not apply, but my AEV procal has a bypass harness that is very similar. Plugs into the same green connectors. I had to move it to a different plug to get it to work. After that it was perfect.
I think there is something wrong with my OBDlink EX driver. Going to go down that road see if it fixes it.

Fixed my driver issue, now have green light on OBD but still no dice connecting to truck just says "please wait..." when I hit connect and eventually it goes to "idle"

I ordered my OEM LED front lights from BAM wholesale parts but am still waiting on them. They are supposed to be back in stock this week. They were a little over $400.00 for each side. Part #68360179AC and 68360178AC. Total to include shipping was $842.38. I already have AlfaOBD installed and working. Just waiting on the lights.

Are you using PC or android device? and did you use KaodTech Security Module Bypass Harness?

Yes, and I plugged it into the blocks as described in https://6d6c157f-f89c-43ae-8a03-8e0...d/6d6c15_2857cd0f14804724b30b761f568e66f0.pdf but when I run AlfaOBD it just says "Please wait" and never connects to vehicle. I didn't pick any special port I just plugged into any available block.
The way the two white connectors on the bypass should be labeled is green/white, and green/black. This is referring to the two separate canbus junction blocks directly behind the headlight switch. One of them is a green block with a white base, and the other is a green block with a black base. Plug them into any available spot on each block, but make sure you don’t plug them both into the same block.
In AlfaOBD, click on advanced mode, and make sure the interface selected is OBD Link usb/BT.
Also, since you are using the EX, make sure you are using a usb 3.0 port on your computer, as 2.0 might be too slow.

^ all of that...

Peter, I have a Samsung A7 tablet that I bought for this and yes, I am using the KaodTech wire harness.

Both are green blocks with white plugs.

The plugs are in the appropriate blocks - confirmed.

This is frustrating, thought this would be the easy part.

Does the Alpha obd work with 2020's. I really want to get one but haven't been able to confirm it works with the new models.

it works with the 2019, so will work with 2020's.

@Peter720 I'm not familiar with the PC ui. you did connect it via obd before going to the modules options..?

All cables are connected and I boot up AlfaOBD, truck is in run position (not running), and AlfaOBD just says "Please wait...." when I hit connect. It won't connect. If I go to the Car configuration change the "start" button is greyed out, probably because its not connected to the truck.

In your image you don't have a COM port selected.

Doesn't the cable mimic a COM port?

For those of you who are confused by all of the internet alpha obd babble (like me)

It would be cheaper and easier to just get the morimotos. Drop in replacement for the halogen units. $1600 from theretrofitsource

Depends on what lights you buy the led projectors are 1000$ each but the led reflectors are much less
The morimotos are really nice but cost 2300 plus hst and shipping here in Canada unfortunately
