Hey everyone, I have a 2018 ram 2500 with the Cummins and I have been having this issue with the truck since I bought it. I noticed that when the truck is spinning on ice or any slippery surfaces I hear a grinding noise towards the front of my truck. I was told it was probably something to do with traction control going bad but it doesn’t make a difference if it’s on or off, also makes the noise weather the front end is totally stationary in 2wd or even in 4wd when it’s moving and I can’t seem to find anyone having a similar issue. Doesn’t sound like clicking or anything like that just sounds like metal on metal grinding if anyone might have an idea please reach out
Thanks

I didn’t think to look much at front end components solely based on the fact it makes the noise even in 2wd with the truck spinning in place could it still be those things you listed ?

When you turn off traction control, it doesn't turn off ESC in a 2wd. I don't think holding the button down for 5-7 seconds works unless it's a 4wd. Maybe try pulling the fuse (I think f26 labeled "Mod ESC") to confirm it's not just ESC still engaging.
