Grid heater soot

Has anyone had issues with the grid heater sooting up after disconnecting it?
My thought is that when it cycles, the soot gets burned off.
Am I headed for problems down the road after disconnecting it?

From what I’ve see when other people have posted their grid heater all caked up with soot it does not seem to make much difference weather you use it or not it will probably still get pretty caked up.

Exactly. Soot buildup is happening either way.

Presently, 108k miles. First intake horn cleaning done at 65k miles. And the most recent at being 105k when I swapped the heater grid/plenum. See video for build-up for only 45k miles.
