Grid Heater RELAY Recall (new)

My dealer in West TN told me yesterday 2023's on the lot are scheduled to get the parts and repair first. A few have been fixed. They have no idea when parts for my 2022 will arrive.

How's that for customer service?
Still waiting on trans dipstick too....
Same, new 22' truck sitting at the dealer with a hefty deposit on it. Nothing to show for it yet. Kind of mind boggling that the already sold vehicles don't get the priority over the ones not even delivered to dealers yet.

Seems so crazy to me that they don't fix the no sales trucks in terms of how long you've waited.

I agree, apparently i am the last "sold" '22 at my dealer. They have a few more '22's but they aren't "sold" vehicles, just dealer stock.

Just got my letter informing me of the issue and that there's currently no solution but don't park my truck inside until it's fixed. Glad Ram is so on the ball. I was parking outside weeks ago until I unhooked the grid heater.

I just got my letter today. Called my dealer and was told that they have parts but can only put them in '23's.

Got my letter too. The wait begins.....

You should call them back & tell them your Recording their response. So FCA would rather replace parts on 23's that are sitting on a lot, for sale
than to fix a 22 Ram that's not only on-the-road, but has family's driving them around!!!
I got my letter today as well. I called the dealer last Saturday & was also told, parts not in yet. I'm on their 'waiting-list'.

Dave...

Could really use a date on when our 22's will get worked on! Got things to haul back to SC from CT first weekend in May. Can't do it if it's still stuck at the dealer and would really like to get some miles on it before just clocking on 1500.

Nothing accurate. Dealer says mid April, ramcares says mid April but if you call ram recall they say June.

It's rather frustrating not having accurate information on a such a high dollar item. Every industry I've ever worked in we've always had to fulfill our back orders before new orders so I really can't grasp 23's first. When I was shopping I had multiple dealers tell me the recall info will be released April 1 which is why I pulled the trigger, I wouldn't have been able to get back to the dealer to pick it up until then anyways so no loss. They weren't 100% incorrect on that but now, shelling out a down payment and now maybe 2+ months for something you dont physically have and be able to make some money with, talk about a dime holding up a dollar.

Do you know why your 22 is so late to the delivery game?

I don’t believe they build both concurrently, so your truck should have been built and delivered before ‘23’s.

They are built and delivered first. But the 2023s are getting repaired before the 2022 models. Makes zero sense.

My dealer had about a dozen 23's on the lot before my 22 was finally delivered. Hell, ive already done my financing. My 1st payment is due on May 13th and i havent even bought the truck yet.

I didn't order it, I found it at a dealer after the stop sale had begun. Found out after the fact, some dealers removed their listings of their inventory because of the stop sale and some didn't. I'm not bashing the dealer I purchased from, they were great to work with and made as much information known to them available to me within the week of singing papers/check.

5/2 for me.
That is odd, I would assume that is because they didn't have enough vehicles to ship to your particular dealer to get yours delivered soone but if they already had them who knows. Are 23s coming from a different plant now possibly?

Yes, but many 23’s were already delivered. That means 22’s could have been, but every case is different.

Nope, still built at the same plant in Mexico.
