Google is updating Android Auto to fit all screen sizes!

I've had no issues with the assistant, but I imagine issues with that will be more and more common as Google drops the assistant in favor of Gemini, both from Assistant losing features and from Gemini struggling to pick up the slack.

Only issue I've had so far is they're not kidding about temperature operation range. Mine overheated once and wouldn't start. 30 seconds holding it in front of the A/C vent and it was right as rain. It'll be interesting to see how it does come winter when it's -10F real temp here in Michigan... lower range is 32F.

Did anyone get an update to Uconnect in the last few days? I was driving around yesterday and when I pulled up to a store and got out, the music kept playing after I shut off the truck and opened the door. There was an on screen message that said "There is a Uconnect update available. The update will take 5 minutes and the SOS and Assistance buttons will be unavailable during the update". So I hit the "update now" button and left the truck and went into the store. When I returned 20 minutes later, there was no indication or confirmation that an update happened. In fact, the software version number was unchanged.

Anyone get that Uconnect update? Thanks.

I saw the same. Was doing a few things on Saturday morning, and when I pulled into Lowes, I saw the update message. I didn't notice anything when I got back to the truck. Not sure if the software version changed. This was the first time I saw that notice, so not sure if I need to keep it on in order to update.

Yeah, that's the thing. Should I left the motor running, babysit the update? IDK, their messaging was so vague. I idled the truck yesterday to see if the message came back or if anything changed. I even plugged my phone in to see if Android Auto was full screen, but no joy.

I know this isn't fixed on the 12 inch but anyone know of the new 14 inch has full screen yet? Or did they just give another 2 inches of wasted space.

Afaik the 14" is still Uconnect 5, which several reliable sources have claimed Uconnect has no plans to implement full screen AA on UC5. So ya it seems to be an extra 2"of wasted space.
