Just a heads up since the GMs have had block heater issues as recently as the 2019 MY, even a recall. Neighbor's 2023 GMC 2500 Denali was plugged in due to low temps. He was out shoveling snow yesterday and saw a flame in the wheel well. Fully engulfed shortly after. Luckily was parked outside although his enclosed trailer next to the truck suffered major heat damage. The extension cord was OK so had to be a truck heater issue. I was up the street helping some neighbors shovel out and heard the tires exploding. Truck is completely destroyed, no glass or tires, even the tailgate melted so assume it must be aluminum. Not on any GM forums so figured I'd mention it here in case anyone has friends with the newer trucks to be aware that there may be an issue. Would not wish that experience on anyone.
