I’ll have to check mine out, I didn’t even realize there was a light in either of them.

What trim level do you have? Are you sure you are not just noticing the ambient lighting that lights up the upper gap and vertical gaps on the side of the glove box at night?
I have the Larimie crew cab 2019 6.7 cumin. And yes I’m sure it is the inside light of the upper glove box.

My Bighorn 3500's light goes off when I lower the door. Sounds like a switch is not doing its job?

This was an issue with some 2019 1500s... IIRC the door was slightly misaligned so it isn't hitting the button

Thank you. I felt around for a plunger switch before I posted but didn’t feel one, I will check again

I have this issue on 2019 Ram Laramie. Glove Box light is constantly on when lights are on. Guess I need to take it to the dealer to see if they can fix it. Shouldn't be on unless I open the door to get in there.

Could be ambient lighting. Check the scrolling knobs on the lower dash near the driver door.

I think it's ambient lighting. It goes on and off the same as the floor lighting. if you turn your dash lights all the way up ambient lighting will turn off.

I got tripped up by this a while back. Was sure the upper glove box light was stuck on when in reality it was the ambient cabin lighting that was dialed all the way up. Doh...

This is exactly what happened to me. Figured out it was the ambient lighting and not the glove box light not working right. User error.
