Genomer Night Build

Nice taste, love that all painted sport pkg. I'd like a picture of ours side by side. What did you do for your 3rd light bed cam.

Thanks Rich, I'm still working out ideas. As of right now, the camera pigtail is behind the new brake light assembly. I've got the camera out as a reference point, but I'll have to drill into the center of the brake light for any kind of cargo visual. Right now the 12-inch display reads the camera as a black screen. It'd be so much easier if I could find a flush mount replacement...

The caveat to this idea revolves around the struggle of finding a camera that utilizes the Fakra connector that our trucks came with. I can find RCA adapters to mate the two, but I was always under the impression that RCA cannot supply power. I'm not willing to deviate from factory setting on this because the cargo cam is 'just a nice feature.' Any and all input on this would be amazing. Pic for reference to the Fakra connector type.

The reason why I ask is. I took my third light out, broke the two plastic pin tabs off and pushed it up more toward the roof line and then put a bunch of weather stripping on the bottom portion to thus lift up the camera and angle it out a bit to try and get a bitter image of my fiver hitch head over the top of my bakflip cover. I can see the whole hitch head but the junk mopar camera won't let me see the detail that I would like to see to be able to tell pin heighth coming into hitch head and I'm thinking if there's a way to take apart 3rd brake light and take out junk cam and replace with a high quality camera that I can see up close an personnel. Or maybe the uconnect won't portray a better pic no matter the camera choice, not sure. Keep us posted

Do the mopar offroad flares require the holes in the fenders like the stock flares do, or will they work on truck without flares/holes from the factory such as a BigHorn?
Truck looks great. Awesome build so far!

Thanks brotha. The Mopar flares are hollow inside, just like the Bushwackers. They don't require the stock flare holes/drilling. When you purchase them, they come with the faux bolts/nuts and are finished in a texured black. Any decent paint shop can smooth them out and color match.

Your truck is gorgeous, and has me considering the silver very heavily now. A total newb question if I may ask: What was all the zones mentioned for the Baja Designs lights? Are you able to control lighting in batches? If so, via the upfitter switches or something else?

Thanks brotha!

I personally wanted to deck out my truck and keep functionality. Baja felt that the lighting patterns served different purposes depending on their placement and output. The fogs illuminate the low front and reduce glare from fog/dust. The cornering lights reduce eye strain and tunnel vision etc...

Bottom line, Baja Designs believes that these zones enhance night vision in truck racing. I'll probably take this truck off roading at high speeds once or twice, but it's cool to have when camping or driving in desolate settings.

I only have 3 Aux set: hood pods, grill bar and 3rd brake lamp work lights. The fogs are on the factory switch. I may or may not utilize the 3 spare Aux, but it'll be for something like an air compressor, rock lights or titan aux fuel.

Great looking truck. I just picked up a 2020 Billet Silver 2500 CC. I will be following this post.

Great write up! I was curious about where you got your smoked mirror lights from? I bought a set from Boost Auto but they are for the 2 Pin design and not the 4 pin type the 2019-2020 have.
I didn't find Boost Auto until it was too late. I ended up taping the mirror off and applying 3 coats of tint. The light shines through just fine, but i was worried about breaking the glass when popping off the mirrors.
