What truck are you running? Thanks!@Leonm228 That’s with the weigh safe ball, sits about 3” higher IIRC. I’ve towed using this setup 1,200 miles or so, no issues whatsoever. I’ve been contemplating giving the 4” offset a shot just cuz I’m curious to know how the truck would sit and ride……………

A few days late but better than never.I'll take a picture of my goosebox this evening.
Thanks, but unfortunately the Reese is a no go for me as I have a turning point pin-box, so have to go with the Gen Y, which according to reviews, should work well.A few days late but better than never.

Thanks for the photo. That's really good clearance. Does the trailer sit fairly level with the weigh safe being 3" higher?@Leonm228 That’s with the weigh safe ball, sits about 3” higher IIRC. fairly level would be accurate, might be slightly higher on the nose than the tail but it's not a severe difference. Thanks for the photo. That's really good clearance. Does the trailer sit fairly level with the weigh safe being 3" higher?
Not disagreeing at all, you are right. But don't you find it suspicious that they only hitch they approve is their own? I don't want to be the test, but I am curious how this might turn out in court if heard.I'll add that as of last May, goosebox was the only lippert approved "gooseball" style hitch for their 5th wheel frames.
Before even driving off the lot w/ my lippert framed 5th wheel I switched out the pinbox for the Gen Y. If they deny my warranty (if I never need it) they can see me in court. Not disagreeing at all, you are right. But don't you find it suspicious that they only hitch they approve is their own? I had the place I bought my toy hauler put me the Anderson hitch and found out on inspection that it lost my frame warranty ( same place that sold me the Anderson hitch did the inspection). I fought with them and they bought back the Anderson hitch and put me the goose box. Had to have the frame inspected after and send report with pictures to lippert to reinstate my warranty. Before even driving off the lot w/ my lippert framed 5th wheel I switched out the pinbox for the Gen Y. yea I'm sure it's business tactic to ensure you buy their approved items. I like the Gen-Y concept but for that reason, i didn't want to risk it, as i don't have time to drag it out in court if it came down to a voided warranty and damage. Not disagreeing at all, you are right. It sits pretty close to level, just a smidge nose high maybe but after 1,200 miles of towing, no complaints, tows beautifully. Thanks for the photo. That's really good clearance. Does the trailer sit fairly level with the weigh safe being 3" higher?
