Since you asked …. My prediction is that they will raise gas tax on us and possibly even raise registration fees on gas vehicles. This will be a two-fold attack.. help raise the funds for the roads and punish the people that still have gas vehicles. Fees, Along with fuel prices, will price us out of being able to afford gas vehicles. This will also devalue the gas vehicles so they will go to scrap because nobody will buy them since they won’t be able to afford to operate them.

They are already discussing higher registration fees on EVs in CA. As well as a yearly mileage tax.
