With a meme it can be hard to know when something is bs or when the facts have just been stretched a bit for the benefit of humor. Sometimes to make memes better, liberties are taken with the facts. That is OK with me and what makes some memes so good. Take the Wright Bros. a few posts back. I believe I saw the original NYT article reprinted a while ago in response to this one and even though it said what the meme says, it was in October of 1900, not December of 1903. So that would be 2+ years, not 9 days. Anyway, this thread has provided many good chuckles so what does it matter if the facts are stretched a bit for creativity and humor every now and then? . But whether you agree or disagree with the politics of late, some of the posts are not really what was intended for the thread I guess.
