Our LG fridge's (linear) compressor puked 5 weeks before the 5 year P/L warranty ran out. Guy said $900 repair typically. Has 10 year compressor parts only warranty still $700 labor & Freon cost to fix. Nice fridge but can't cool like our 30 year old Kenmore (whirlpool). That MF will hard freeze water bottles in the fridge side if it's set anywhere past the half way cold setting.
Range has WiFi and can be monitored and remote started (haven't tried AlfaOBD on it yet.) DW also reports status/completion/needs jet dri, etc. all 3 have needed warranty repairs, the gas range (electric oven) knob, the DW water pickup tube, motor, and control board, 2 of those were under extended warranty.
Planned obsolescence.

My whirlpool crapped out in 4years just got an LG but not expecting it to last as nothing lasts anymore
