Fuel tank size and factory computer settings

If Long Range (https://longrangeamerica.com) can sell tanks for Toyotas, Nissans, Land Rovers, and Jeeps, then obviously there’s no law prohibiting it.

I’ve asked them about a tank for our Rams, but they said “it’s on their wish list”. It probably wouldn’t hurt for others to reach out and ask them as well.

They can sell it but that does not believe it’s not illegal to use it correct?

I can put a 500gl tank in the back of my truck but that does not make it legal correct?

The only tank on that list of any size is the Tundra at 46 gallons and $1695.00, a long ways from 55.

If they were Illegal to use they be getting impounded on their way in fro Australia.

Many of their tanks are auxiliary tanks, not replacements. I’d happily add an extra 30-40 gallons to my current 31.

Best money I spent on the truck. Don't sweat reprogramming. The bonus is you have more reserve when the low fuel light comes on. The peace of mind when pulling heavy is priceless!

It's a easy reprogram if you have alpha obd I can give you a walk through if you would like
