Fuel spout protection

I purchased this one from Geno’s and put on my 2019 Ram Limited Mega Cab DRW. I’m not really happy with the fit. It’s ok but not like it should be IMO. So, I said WTF and ordered these cheap ones form Amazon- haven’t got them in yet, but I will post my opinion. View attachment 4626View attachment 4625
If the 19 and 20s have the same spout, I don't think that diesel cap from Amazon is going to fit. DEF looks right.

My bad, mines the locking cap and it won't fit. I figured there wasn't no point in just getting the pretty ones for $64 when i could get the pretty locking ones for $91. 65 sucks figured what's another 30.
UPDATE: Called Geno's and told them the OEM tether for the DEF isn't compatible with their DEF cap even though the description states otherwise. Of course the guy I was chatting with said "they (RAM) must have changed the design and we didn't know." I went on to say I think the 19s/20s are the same and haven't changed so I'm not sure why you folks think they changed the design. He didn't seem to like that answer and I told him no offense. BLUF: he's sending me the correct tether no charge.

Received the EZ-LOC fuel and DEF caps from Geno's. Pretty happy with em - appear to work as advertised. Also received the complimentary Cummins sticky and... some candy? Wut the heck! Nooobody, and I mean, nobody, sends me candy - ever! How cool is that? Geno's for the win!

I love genos, when I ordered my locking versions, they sent me a diesel head paper, some candy, and some pop corn for my wife. Great marketing, we were so excited about all our goodies we totally forgot we spent $100 :)

I like Genos, but I never got any treats! I eagerly looked upon receiving very order and nothing. Haven’t ordered in a month or so, maybe next time?

Not sure frequent flyers get treats or trinkets much.

Perhaps it's there way of luring in the infrequent or new customer.

Nothing makes me want to spend over $100 on caps the factory should have had more than the chance to get a couple crappy $.25c suckers and a sticker.

Locking fuel caps? I havent seen much about them since the 1980s. Why now?

does the same "key" fit both the fuel and DEF caps?
Yup, you get 2 keys with each cap, so if you buy both caps, you get 4 keys that you can stash around for when you lose or break one. I've had mine for 4 months they are a great piece of mind. A little hard for my big hands to try to get them lined up in the little area but they really work great and are great eye candy for diesel heads. 20200430_151645.jpg20200430_150005.jpg

It's a plastic filler neck. Probably quick work with channel locks? Anyone tested these 'security' locks?

I mean it can probably be done but i have a hard enough time with that little key trying to get it in there and turn it to lock it tight, i can't imagine getting vise grips on there, but I'm sure it can be done. I never felt the need for these, but i like the eye candy and knowing that it will at least slow them down and hope they'll move onto someone else who is a little easier to get at

I can attest for the magnet strengh of the diesel filler cap. Stuck it to the hinge arm, and left the door open driving down the road after a fill-up. About 10 miles later someone passed me pointing to the side of the trick. Gino's cap still stuck to the hinge arm.

I almost did that 2, i always stick it on the arm during fill up, i wish the def cap had a magnet.

Def cap uses a tether.

Got mine with the cap from Geno's, one could probably roll your own if one was so inclined.

I use the caps more for piece of mind knowing it keeps the hoodlums from spiking fuel on a very expensive fuel system. We seem to have more than our fair share of those worthless vandals around here anymore.

Anyone knows where to get a tether for Genos locking def cap? Can't find it on their website.
