Front wheel bearing assembly

I’d have to get back home to my toolbox to look in my notebook, but it was damn tight. Had to break out the big dog torque wrench.

When I get home from work, I’ll go look at my axle nut socket for you.
Specs seem to vary greatly. As @whitexc showed, I’ve seen the 263ftlb, and the 450ftlb both shown on his screenshot.

Not trying to say anyone is wrong but I don’t know what the correct number is. Would be nice to have the info right here for everybody to be handy

SKF shows 107ftlb for axle nut and 149ftlb for hub bolts

There is a off-brand wheel bearing brand Mevotech that seems to have a lifetime warranty. I might go that route next time since its so easy to swap out anyway.

I put these on my Subaru. Going strong a cple years and thousands of miles later. I’d look into them for the Ram if needed.

The SKF are $530 actually each side. So it's $1060. But they have 3 years warranty.
Yeah, there is no chance I’m paying 530 bucks for a single hub on a pickup truck, especially with a measly warranty like that.

That’s approaching medium-duty commercial truck prices.
