Front valance necessary?

I think most of those valences put on cars/truck are for cooling and aero.

I also wonder if the lack of the negative pressure area under the engine would increase engine temperature at all?
No question that an item like that valence changes the air flow. I can't even guess at how it might affect engine temp one way or the other.

When a plow is mounted, different trucks react differently in terms of engine temp. It's actually pretty interesting, some trucks want the plow carried high, some low, some angled right or left. This truck is more sensitive than I think any other one I've had, if I don't watch the plow orientation when driving the engine temps soar quickly. Maybe because it's gas instead of diesel, but I think it has more to do with general air flow around the front.

Mine is gone, would have removed itself by now anyway. No issues with overheating or anything else and it’s hot here.
BTW…The front bumper is doing surprisingly well considering that it has taken some serious shots, especially from below. The rear got wasted quick.

What did you replace the rear bumper with?

The impact of a massive wall of steel blocking airflow in to the radiator in whole or in part is not at all the same as the plastic valance sitting beneath the bumper.

The Power Wagon/Rebel valance is pretty cheap. I just ordered one through the Mopar Estore for less than $60 shipped to my local dealer.

Part number 68618777AA.

The center section of the valance is shorter than the standard valance, however the outer edges in front of the tires are the same length.

I think the bumper looks ‘unfinished’ without the valance and/or with the intercooler skid, so the PW/Rebel version will give a little more clearance while giving a factory look obviously.

Some folks have trimmed the standard valance and it looks pretty good too if you’re not opposed to breaking out the dremel.

Will the PW valance fit a 23 Cummins?

Not sure about that honestly, was planning on working through that when it showed up lol.
Gotcha. I've taken mine off before, and there are two clips that are a pain to get off. I guess we'll find out.

That air dam seems to be out of stock everywhere except the Mopar estore which is in Little Rock. Shipping to MS is $265 lol. Can't find the option to ship to my dealer anywhere on the estore.

Yeah shipping direct to your home is spendy, I think the estore quoted me like $302 for shipping due to the size of the part.

You actually have to go all the way through the check out process to select the ship to dealer option.

Once you enter your ship to info you’ll click through to the payment screen. This will allow you to choose your shipping method, one of which is ship to dealer. For me the cost to ship to my local dealer was $2.

Once you select that you can enter your payment info and finish check out.

Here are some more pics I took from different angles.
I haven’t noticed a difference in mpg or any temperature changes or driving characteristics.

Little update here. Apparently the PW/Rebel lower valance is on backorder.

According to the local online parts guy the it was due to him on 11/28 but he hasn’t seen it yet.

Same here. My guy told me I might have it by the 9th of this month. We’ll see.
