Front park sense?

Does anyone else find it odd that if I have my truck in reverse and there’s an obstacle in front of me, the front park sense starts beeping at me? It seems like the truck would have enough logic to know that if I had the truck in reverse I am not going to hit an obstacle in front of me? No big deal, I just find it odd. My first instinct is to think something is behind me when I’m backing up and the alarm is going off.

I agree. There must be a reason to do it that way but I have not seen a scenario yet where it makes sense.
The rear cross path warning will not trigger until you are in reverse, so not sure why the front proximity sensors can't be using some logic too...

What if you are turning out a spot while backing up and your front bumper swings too close to the car beside you and hits it? I’d like to know before contact is made rather than having the front sensors just turned off.

Exactly this... even though I try to park in the boonies it isn't always possible.. having the front sensors ping when I'm backing out of a spot is helpful.

thanks, now it makes sense. Truck is still pretty new to me and I've never had that feature before.
