Here is the video I uploaded

I had gotten my 2024 Rebel HD regeared. Truck is in park, and in 4 high. There is play in the front shaft. Is that normal?

When in 2wd I can just spin the shaft my hand.

I forgot to mention there is also some noise when I coast on highway in 4wd high. It goes away as soon as I give it even a little bit of gas. Im not sure if it started since the regear and if it’s related to the shaft play

May be a touch more backlash in the front diff than I would want if i was setting up the gears but not an issue really if the pattern is good.

Tell us more about the regear if you don’t mind. What did you take out/install? Where did you acquire the new ring and pinion sets? Pricey?

In 4WD, the front drive shaft should spin the same amount as the rear.

In 2WD you should be able to turn by hand. It may turn some when driving due to friction .

I’m about to break into the diff again to put in a truetrac or another lsd.

I think truetrac needs older gears so I’m getting the nitro one

i guess it wasn’t normal after all. Oil splatter around the shaft
