My floor on the passenger side is soaked so my mechanic unclogged the cowl drain tubes,
My cab filter was soaked and full of debris from the Linden trees that grow on our boulevards .
So I'm wondering if there is a cover that exists that can be installed on the plastic cowl cover while parked
or any suggestions of something I can use that could stay put while on the truck ?

I can’t help yah with add on coverage/protection but I did this cowl job last night after reading about others having this issue. Luckily mine was clean with just a few leaves and some dust. Drains were both clear.

Did you get any pictures of how to do the cowl drain cleaning?

I’m bad with pics bud, sorry. Wiper arms off, a handful of retainer clips/pins and the plastic cowling comes off. You will see the drains once you open it up. Worst part is the wiper arms. Be nice to that windshield! I’m guessing those in dusty/high pollen areas have to keep an eye on this. I just have leaves.

Genus garage. Cab fresh filter kit. They tout keeps out dust and smells I guess it doesn’t hurt in those areas but it certainly keeps the junk out of the cowl

I looked at it on Genos and cant figure it out. I'm looking for something to cover the cowl vent holes below the wiper blades on the outside to stop debris while it sits in the driveway.

Yes they will do it, there is a filter underneath. I have been using them since back 01 or 02. Where we live it is very heavily forested with ponderosa pines and they shed needles like nobodies business in early fall like right now. My driveway will be totally covered with them in a day or two and it goes on for a couple months like that. Since I started using them over 20 years ago and 3 trucks haven’t found a one in there. You can clean the filters several times before you might want to change them. I think I get about five years out a set of the filters.
If you go to genos garage website look up the cab fresh filter. Then scroll down towards the bottom of the page and you will see install instructions, click on that and it will bring up a list look at top portion right side column down a few to cab fresh filter. It will bring up a video. It will be the wrong model for your truck but you will see what the deal and is easy install. Once on you don’t even notice they are there as they mostly sit under the hood.

I found this, but no instructions.

Link to their instructions webpage.

Same here but I phoned Geno's and talk to tech and he says it a simple install, comes with stainless steel screws so all you do is drill pilot holes and sandwich the filters between the cowl and filter holder and screw it in. He says the filters have charcoal in them which seems redundant to me cause as soon as they get wet the charcoal is useless....no ? but he says the filters should be good for years.

Thanks Barryg for the info but our Canadian postal workers are on strike so it has to be delivered via Fed X. The shipping would be $40 alone so by the time I did the dollar conversion for the part and the shipping it would be $147 CAD dollars plus any border brokerage fees.

Found a solution that works for me as far as keeping the leaves and pine needles out of the cowl. It works for me because
the truck sits in the driveway 6 months of the year and I don't use it as a daily driver. If I had to take it off everyday to go out that would be a pain in the a#$.
Also my garage is full so that's not an option either.
I stuff an old bed sheet over the cowl and hold it in place with the wiper blades.

Gotta love a simple solution.
