Front camera stops working randomly

Over the last month or so my front camera will randomly stop working. It could go a day or two without issue and then not work the next time I go to use it. This has all been in the 360° view since I use it to park all the time. I need to do some checking and see if it happens with only the front view.

Has anyone one else experienced this issue? Anyone know if there are some connectors some place that I should double check to make sure they are making good contact?

I would check the connectors for sure. I added a rear trailer camera and after a wash it would randomly stop working. I checked connection and dried it good then wrapped with electric tape and no problem since.

Thanks, I'm going to try and check those this weekend if I can find the time. The one at the camera end should be easy to find, but I have no clue where the other end is located at.

I had this problem for a while, my front camera would randomly cut out. Eventually I realized it happened after severe rains, or a trip through the car wash. I fixed it by putting a little dot of dielectric grease in the connection to keep the water out. It hasn't given me a problem since.

Mine has not been only after rains, but which connector did you have to do that to?

If you have the 360 view, the tailgate camera and the front camera are the same p/n I believe and you should be able to swap them during your testing to verify if it is the camera giving you problems. The tailgate one is easy to get to.

Thanks, that could be very helpful with troubleshooting.

It appears that my issue is the connection between the wiring harness and the camera is not good. Whenever the harness is moved, the camera feed drops in and out. I need to order a new harness, but I can't seem to find the part number online. I took these photos of the label on the harness, but Google does not turn anything up on them.

Does anyone know the part number for the harness that goes from the top of the grill down to the camera?

What the heck. When I searched that two days ago nothing came up at all! I just searched for it again (from work this time) and it pulled it right up. Who knows, but thanks for the help!
