Front camera options

There is this one, but it is pricey. I would like to hear from someone who has installed and used it. Too expensive for me to be a guinea pig to try it.

You can get them from Ram. I only know this because when I bought my '24, the dealership delivered my truck and left a box in the bed with an extra camera and like 20 feet of cable.

That's probably the trailer cam.

I will have to go out and look. I think they were random parts the forgot were in the back of the truck.

Do all 2500's come with that cam? This is my first Ram, so not sure what comes with it and doesnt. The dealership was not helpful at all and not super responsive during the process.

No. It's about a $700 option. "Wired tow camera" on your window sticker.

You can use the trailer camera if you have the input for it in the back bumper. Mine came with both a single camera input as well as the multi camera surround input for a trailer. I think it was part of the trailer tow group. I am using the single camera trailer option on the back of my PW since I have a RTT and bed rack on mine. It gives a clear picture through the rear view mirror. It is adjustable using buttons on the mirror. If you have the camera ports on the rear bumper you could mount it up front. I think I paid around $600 at the dealer. It is a mopar part.

If you want something temporary for trail use, I saw a review of this one on YouTube. I’ve thought about going this route since my truck doesn’t have the cameras. I don’t need something all the time, but it would be nice to have it when trail riding. It just mounts magnetically which should work well on our front bumpers.

Here’s the review is saw:

Wolf box has an option coming out end of this month I’m going to grab. Digital rear view mirror with a front bumper or grill mounted camera. Not ideal but the rear view camera can display the front camera. For $300 it’s a pretty cheap solution

For what its worth - there are a lot of positive reviews of the Wolfbox on the Ineos Grenadier forum. The Grenadier has obstructed view out the back through the rear-view mirror, and it has fairly small side mirrors, so a bunch of owners have opted to install a Wolfbox; like I said - reviews have been very good in that application.

I will be looking into setting up a Wolfbox in my Power Wagon, both to get a forward-facing camera (to prevent divorce proceedings - "honey, I need another spot"), and to improve rear visibility on the highway (my lightweight camper blocks the rear-view mirror, and the Wolfbox will be a nice way to supplement the side-mirrors).

That is no where near worth $700.

I would pay max $300 for that

Which one is it?

The below one. Basically the same wolfbox, they just added another camera that you mount to the front somehow
