Front and Rear Collision waring on startup

Collision avoidance (forward collision warning with active braking) is handled only by the camera on the windshield in front of the mirror.

The sensors in the bumper are only for park assist (how close you are getting to an object when going slow).

Did Ram ever introduce the pedestrian warning/braking that was showing in the BCM?

So far only on the 1500’s (2021). Not sure what’s different with the HDs, and why it won’t function when enabled, since it’s just an extension of the forward collision warning system.

So the dealer finally witnessed it and it settled to a air suspension fault. They said the control module is now bad, replaced it and fixed they say. I asked how that effects the FCW and they said one will fault the other as they need to communicate. Towing my big 5er wednesday. Guess I will see if it fixed it. Picking it back up tomorrow.

I would still disable the active braking. IMHO it's not a good thing to have enabled while towing a trailer. You'll still get the EVIC and audible warnings.
