Fog light for 2019 Tradesman

that's right. everything but the lenses.

Quick update, slow install. I’m still waiting on the fogs from Diode Dynamics.

I’m also swapping out the headlights and tail lights to the LEDS so I dropped by https://shop.retroshop.us and spoke to Jeremy the owner. He also sells the Diode Dynamics fogs and claims they’re the best he’s seen on the market with the only downside being the aiming adjustment located on the sides as opposed to the rear. He also said there’s no difference between the 1500 and 2500 in regards to the swap we’re discussing on this thread. What I mean by this is the roundish bezel on the 2500 is identical to the 1500 so any lights that fit the 1500 should fit our trucks. He has installed the Diode Dynamics fog on a 2500 and said it fits.

Just received a shipping notification from Diode Dynamics!

New to the forum and trying to add fog lights to our new 2021 Dynamax RV built on the 2019 RAM 5500 Cab Chassis. I frequently see references to the 2500 and 3500 series, but rarely the 5500? It appears the bumper layout is the same. I do have the Aux switches in the cab.

Do you think the parts referenced in this thread would work for our 5500?

Yes. That bumper looks identical. Pull your drivers side fog light blank and compare.

I noticed the Fiat light mentioned earlier and the Ram 2019 1500 light is a different shape I’m wondering if the brackets are the same though. I wonder if they will sell just the bracket

Will be testing the 1500 light out on Monday. Will let you know about the bracket and how it fits. I think they are both the SS3 kit from Diode Dynamic.

Just got a response about the mount. They sell just the mount for $40 on their site. Hopefully it is the right one so I can use my rigids

Awesome thanks basically the same as the Baja designs ones but I noticed their tabs aren’t centered because their led mounts off the bottom. Is it plastic?

Good morning from the STL. Bolted in the Diode Dynamics SS3 Fogs this morning. Good news is they fit like a glove.

Gaps for tightening light after adjusting aim circled in yellow. As you can see there isn’t a whole lot of space. I drilled a hole on one side to offer slightly better access.

View from outside. Truck needs a bath. There’s a small gap between the light and bezel allowing just enough space to pivot the light up and down for aim.

The photo is off center a bit so the light doesn’t look perfectly centered. It’s darn close though and you can loosen the bolts to manipulate the position of the bracket slightly.

Now the fun part. Reviewing the thread to figure out how I want to run the wire and attach to the upfitter switches.

Awesome for all the leg work. Those are the 2019 Ram 1500? Looks good can’t wait to see them lit up. I forgot what you said did you order the brighter ones or the regular ones

SS3 LED Fog Light Kit for 2019-2020 Ram 1500 (non-LED)

Took the truck in to have the head light and tail light assemblies replaced with OEM LEDs. They offered to wire up the fogs since everything was apart. They are hooked up through AUX1 on the upfitter switches.
