So the wife and I have been out on the road since thursday visiting family and enjoying our new 75 AE PW out on the road.
Today as we got ready to leave her cousins house, her uncle and I were talking about the truck and I was showing him where the resonator used to be.
Lucky for me, he looked at my tire and saw a screw in it. Pulled it out, and it was just over a inch long. Long enough to put a hole all the way thru my new BFG KO2 35s. Lucky I bought 5 when I did. So we swapped out to the spare and headed to our hotel.
Looks like in the morning, I'll be hitting the tire store to get it pached.

Naw, sitting at America's tire now to get it patched. Then on the road for 500 miles to get home.
I would do the same. I would rather them pull the tire and patch from the inside. I have done this on literally a new tire that picked up a nail on the way home from getting them. Never had an issue again. I have had issues with plug kits leaking down the road. Most tire places especially like american tire fix for free anyway.

I tend to have them patched now if I can. Interestingly, I have never had a plug fail. I have had a patch fail.

Although after wrestling with my heavy ass 37s this weekend I may go back to plug in place just to avoid changing the damn tire LOL

If you want that hole fixed for good. Look up plug patch combo. Plug with a patch on the back. I had a new 22.5" Tire on a Tri Axle Dump truck. Was told it would not hold up. That tire lasted until I got all the use out of it. Now I keep these Plug Patch combos with me.
