Fiver/pinbox clearance in full-size bed

I'm new to this stuff so you're saying the basic leveling stands on 5th wheels along with wheel chocks/scissors just don't keep the RV stable enough?

Sorry I missed this.

Yes, you will still get some movement in the trailer without additional gadgets. The 6-jack hydraulic rigs are less susceptible. The 4-jack rigs wiggle more.

I never tried wheel scissors, just don't want more junk to lug around.

@Rich How much clearance between bumper and trailer? you could use a shorter pin box and that would keep the base inside the bed.

Only 8", so i can't go to the shorter Benton because then my tailgate would hit during loading. IMMMMMMM BACKKKKKKKKKK

I’m missing something here . How do you hit your trailer when loading ? A shorter pin box does not change the height of the pin . Just the distance between trailer and bumper . My pin box is in the bed and does not hit the bed walls . It is a Moryde my they keep is a 3500 LB RAM . Pin box is 38” to where it begins to angle up . I can still access the front storage . Then again it is also relative to where your manufacturer mounted the pin box .

My pin box is the long version and when im backing up to fiver with tailgate down, the tailgate comes to 8" from fiver. There is also a medium and short pin box. If I go with the medium, there's 8" difference between long and medium thus hitting tailgate to fiver
