First ram!!!

Hey everyone!

This is my very first NEW vehicle and my very first RAM, but my second diesel!! New 2022 ram big horn! Traded my built and tuned Chevy LBZ on this beauty! Long story short, my Chevy didn’t like towing our toy hauler up and down mountains, so it was time do to do something! Looking forward to learning a lot!

Welcome to the club and that is one nice ride! This is a great place to hang out with lots of good people and info. So, visit often and you will learn a lot.

Thank you! Looking forward to learning a lot and digging into this ram! But I’ve never had a warranty before so I gotta make sure I don’t void it lol
 
Nice ride... This is a good place with good people. Lots of info shared here. I'm also in Va. Northern to be exact. Still waiting on my ride, ordered in Oct built in March, waiting to be shipped... Bummer.

Thank you! Looking forward to learning more about these! Oh that’s awesome! I wish I could have ordered one, but this was kinda necessary since my duramax wasnt doing too well!
 
Welcome and lemme be the 1st to bring it up. Your d-max didn't like towing and this ram wouldn't like towing it either being a 2500 diesel. :)
 
First, welcome from south Georgia. That is a good looking Ram! Remimds me of my first Ram, a 2020 2500 with only 2097# of payload capacity. That Cummins eat up the payload.

I took the 2500 and my fifth wheel (in the pic) to a CAT scale loaded with just myself for camping. It weighed out that I was almost 500# over payload. So in August of 2022 I purchased my current Ram 3500 SRW (also in the pic) with 4058# of payload.

Second, enjoy that new Ram, but be careful pulling that toy hauler. You didnt mention what model of toy hauler, but I know they are large and heavy.

Thank you! I love that color! Main reason I got it besides my lbz slowly falling apart is I got it for $12k off sticker price which was awesome!! My payload on the door is 2108 which is some of the better numbers I’ve seen! We have a 2017 Stryker stg 3010 which is all we need, don’t get me wrong I would love a 5er but knowing what I do now I would definitely like to get a 3500!! I hooked it up just to see how it would look, it dropped down about 2”, but also the camper is level and where the truck was sitting was pointed down hill so we’ll find out for sure on the 21st!

I think everyone assumed 5th wheel when you said "toyhauler." You'll be fine.
