First 2100 mile tow with the 2025. Its a beast!

Just finished a 2100 mile trip with the new 2025 pulling my 20K pound horse trailer. First observation was that it didn't even know the trailer was there! I had to really watch my speed cause it would go 80 at the drop of a hat!! My second observation was the exaust brake. I never had to touch my service brakess hardly ever even with the steepest of grades. It did a passive regen pretty much the entire time. After 1300 miles it did an active regen BUT..... man..... it takes forever!!! I monitor it with a scan gauge and the regen took 71 miles and 60 minutes to complete!! Holy moly! I hate to stop a regen mid cycle but if one starts close to home, I'm not driving an hour for it to finish.

I would assume - not having regen indicator on dashboard could mean that we are free to stop in the middle of active regen. In such case I noted only a blink of engine icon while stopping the engine. Next drive cycle just started with regeneration almost right away.

I just bought a 26 longhorn, coming out of a 22. To your point, no regen indicator on the full digital gauge trucks.

What are you using to know when the regen is underway? I have 700 miles, DPF gauge is sitting at 20%, I don’t think it’s gone into a regen yet… I can usually tell, but the new engine and trans are do darn smooth I may have missed it.

I just bought a 26 longhorn, coming out of a 22. To your point, no regen indicator on the full digital gauge trucks.

I have a scan gauge 3 that I mounted in the truck that tells me when it’s in regen . Since using Archoil additive my DPF gauge never comes off empty! Pretty cool there . Before , mine was like yours and got to 20% few times . Be aware that it will automatically regen at 24 hours drive time or 1,000 miles and takes FOREVER to regen . Mine is close to one hour and 50-60 miles!

For sure ! I usually hear the sound first then look at my gauge and boom, says ON lol

Good deal! Thanks for the info, I will say coming out of the 22, night and day how the new engine and trans run, smooth as silk! I could live without the bigger screen and digital dash, but that’s all of them these days
