Hey guys I got a 2019 2500 bighorn with the rear airbags and was wanting to put a 5th wheel in it, do I have to go and buy the puck system or can I just use normal rails and brackets? Thanks

I had a Curt A30 with above bed rails in my last truck. This one has the Curt Q20 with puck system. I find the puck mount to have a more positive connection than the above bed rails, which leads to less shifting around and less noise while towing.
On the other hand, the above bed rail mounted hitch is going to weigh less than the equivalent puck mounted hitch.
Mine is also a slider, so I use an engine hoist to lift it in and out of the bed.

Rails work just fine, pucks are for connivence of a flat bed that is all
