After purchasing the EZ Flow FTV-104A oil drain from Geno’s Garage and after installing it on my 2022 3500 with 1668 miles, but before filling the truck I was not really thrilled with the very small thin flange that tightens against the pan so I removed it and reinstalled the OEM pan bolt. I know most will tell me I have been running them for years but I decided to go another route.

At our shop we have a Ingersoll Rand Rotary Screw air compressor that runs constantly all day 5 days a week since 2015 and a Femco oil drain valve has been on it since new from the factory that has never leaked. So I looked at their website and found Standard Drain Set SB 6910015 M18x1.5-T12 for the Cummins trucks. I looked at the low profile Femco that Geno’s Garage sells but I didn’t like the thickness of the flange that tightens on the pan of that one as well so I went direct to Femco. I will install it at my next oil change, or I might try the shop vac over the oil fill and pull the drain and install this while the oil is still in the truck.

I bought the fumoto and plan to install it when I do my first oil change. Have had several now and they make it a breeze.

We ran the thin flange ones on transports they work well but i decided on the fumoto for my 19

I guess I should of provided a link if anyone is interested, Femco has over 30 years of specialist expertise in the development and manufacturing of the high-quality oil drain plug and oil drainage systems.

They are great systems especially if you need a 90* or 45* drain hose

if you hold down the alt key and type in 248 on the keypad you will get the degree sign ° if you want it.

Interesting, I've always used (muscle memory) alt 0176. Alt 248 is actually an (open) bullet sign.

That said, they appear about the same.

P.S. Yes, I know the 3-digit codes are the original IBM codes and the 4-digit were added by Miscrosoft later.

Any reason you didn't go with the compact or thr LB over the SB? Not sure what the speed difference would be with the LB vs the SB.

I am thinking about getting this one.

The T10 is the length of the threads that go into the pan and was shorter than the extra OEM drain plug I have on hand and I just did not like the thickness of the flange. Hence that's why I went with the T12 unit and provided measurements of the unit I bought as I wanted to maintain as close to the OEM thread depth as possible.

Makes sense about the thread count, but I was more curious about why you went with the SB (small bore) instead of the LB (large bore). It's my understanding the LB has a larger hole so it would drain faster. They have a LB that is a T14 also.
