Greetings all, back in a 2500 after 9 years in a 1500. After reading tons of threads on here I realized my truck may be in the minority. Just purchased a 2022 ccsb 4x4 Tradesman 2 weeks ago. Only options are Diamond Black paint, chrome package, tow hooks, roof lights, and snow plow prep. Really digging the vinyl floor and vinyl seats. They feel softer and more durable than what was in the 1500. Look forward to the years ahead with this truck, and the info I will learn from you guys.

Welcome! If you purchased any HD truck, you're definitely not a poor man, Haha! Lots of Tradesmans on the forums, BTW. I might have a LH, but just got rid of my 2020 2500 Tradesman Cummins that I paid more for than my 2019 2500 BH Gasser with lots of options. Anyway enjoy and share when you can.

Thanks. I got spoiled by my seat heaters and heated steering wheel. I can say that the 6.4 with 8 speed blows away the 5.7 with 6 speed. Close numbers on paper, but world of difference in driving.
Yeah, the 6.4 is a beast. I did enjoy mine! If I currently didn't need a diesel, I'd be back in a 6.4. I entertained the idea a few weeks back, but with the way pricing is, I'd pay the same for a 6.4 than I did my current diesel! And that's for a 2500. I have a 3500!

Shoot, I don’t even have the chrome package, or carpeted floors! Woe is me.

Wasn't looking for it. Found 5 or 6 Tradesman within a 300 mile radius of Atlanta. The local one was black. All the others White. Saw no reason for a 500 mile road trip to get a white one at the same price. I am happy with the no carpet interior. Several people actually commented on my leather seats. Did point out they were just vinyl though.

Welcome back to the world of the 2500 6.4L. I felt the same concerning the cost as you do. My signature shows what I purchased. I would have choked on the price even more than I did if Mark Dodge hadn't given me such a great discount off MSRP - as they do for everyone. In the end I spent 50K for the rig and love it. I see some of others on this forum get much more elaborate trucks than me with much higher prices (upwards of 90K!) and I just shake my head. 50K was far more than I'd ever spent on a new rig - and never will again as I'm retired and on a fixed income. Anyway, I just had the oil changed at 12k miles and am getting ready to take it on a road trip from Wash state to Alabama and back. Looking forward to every mile!

Hope you have great weather on your trip. Doing the annual trip to Florida this Saturday. You will see some gorgeous scenery on your trip. Hope the wind isn't to bad in Wyoming.

What was msrp? Out of curiosity. I’m outside of Atlanta and all these dealers are crooks out here. From my experience, of course.

$54,500 approx. I had great luck dealing with Woodstock Ram in Woodstock. Where are you located? No hassle kind of deal. Everything basically at invoice without batting an eye. You have to work from there. They had a few Diesels on the lot yesterday when I stopped in to pick up the floor mats and bed step they threw in.

I just missed out on a used 2022 3500 SO Cummins Tradesman in Olive Green with 8'bed and spray in liner. 13k miles and $60,000. Certified also.

After doing the paperwork they shocked me by saying, "Give us a few minutes to put some gas in it". Gave it to me with full tank (showed 14 miles til empty). I asked if they would yave done that if it was a diesel and they said yes. Better deals are out there, but this was my most painless buying experience.

I’m north of Woodstock, but had terrible luck finding anybody less than MSRP on an order. Ended up using Mark Dodge.

I think this dealership is only about a year old. Was going to order, but couldn't wait any longer. Been doing construction out of a 91 Bronco since June. Traded my 1500 the day after dealership got it running. Took months to get parts for it.

I bought the 2021 Tradesman. Works for my budget. Still a super nice truck compared to past versions of this trim. I’m paying for it so I’m going to get what I can afford. Personally, I think paying $20k-$40k more for options is stupid but oh well.
