Used the red roadside assistance button for first time after getting stuck. They answered right away and said they would send help and call us back in less than 10 minutes. Never hear any thing again. Called tow service our selves and guy showed up in 30 minutes. We were not in dangerous spot but if we had been….wow. Now 18 hours later no call or follow up. Do not depend on this feature on you $80,000 truck. Just hard to believe FCA would allow this.

I called Ram Roadside when my truck wouldn't start in -10 weather. Never got through. I expect they were slammed. Called the local dealer and they gave me a number of their preferred guy that would tow the 25 miles to them.

Turns out it just needed a jump and I was an idiot for not calling airport parking first. Nice guy only charged me $60 for the jump.

I have roadside on my insurance (Progressive) for all vehicles including RV, so that's my primary goto. $3/mo per vehicle.

I too keep road side on my insurance plus I have good sam rv/auto cheaper then aaa and aaa has gone down hill over the years so I 86th them.

I called when I had dead batteries, for reasons that were not obvious. They sent a tow truck 2 days later.

Submit the receipts to FCA and they will cover the cost.

Towing only for mechanical break down I see on card in glove box. Truck wouldn’t shift out of traction control mode and powered out.

I know this thread is about a year old, but I couldn't resist chiming in with some advice on your towing dilemma. Considering the weight of your trailer, the car inside, and all the extra gear, it's crucial to choose the right truck. While the new 1500 trucks can be equipped with some towing options, a 2500 might be the safer choice for your needs. With its sturdier build, it can handle the weight and long journeys more comfortably. However, it's always a good idea to consult with towing experts. You might find some valuable insights at <link removed>, even though the thread is a bit old. They can provide expert advice and tips on selecting the perfect towing companion.
