Anyone running Falkens made in china?

Most **** is made in china.

I'm running the Wildpeak AT3/W. Just drove them 1000 KM to work in snow and ice packed roads, traction was great. I've had them in 30 inches of snow, they easily got around.

Great tire so far.

Wildpeak AT3/W here too. Had 'em about 4 months now and really like them way better than the KO2's on my previous truck.

I have had Falken at3w that were made in the USA and ones that were made in Tailand and my buddy had a set 3 were USA and 1 china. there were no difference in any of them.
given a choice I would pick ones that were made in the USA. I know my buddy worried about the one made in china but it was was identical wear wise and other than the made in china we could see no difference

I ordered 5 of them last week. Came in today. All 5 say made in china. Just cant bring myself to put them on my truck. Going to send back and go with toyo at3’s. I know it’s hard to buy 100% american if not impossible. I do have a choice with this and choose not to put them on my truck.

Fwiw I've run Toyo ATs for many years. First couple of sets were made in Japan and were great. About 5yrs ago I ended up with a set of four that were made in China. They suffered internal failure within 10k miles. Replaced with Japanese toyos and no troubles since. I couldn't tell a difference until the Chinese ones failed (one got a big sidewall bubble and two had belts break making them go egg shaped). Not Falkens but maybe relevant data point on Chinese rubber.

For the most part the Falkens have been great.

They did let me down recently on a hunting trip. Impossible to get out of ruts with one tire on icy hardpack or in a hardpack rut.

Certainly, the weight of the mighty Cummins didn't help matters.

Installed Falkens on my dually and put about 6000 miles on them…took truck in to have tires rotated. Owner had me come back into the shop to show me one of the tires he was balancing. It wobble a little when it spun on balancing machine To where you could see it. Nothing wrong with the rim. Never felt a vibration when driving so had him rebalance and install it. seems to run fine.

Thanks for the heads up. If these toyos say made in china, I wont accept them.
Very interesting hard stance on accepting zero chinese / foreign components.

I have bad news for you if you think that RAM of yours is stuffed full of components made in America..

Actually, same with the phone or laptop your using lol.

I said in my first post " I know it's hard to buy 100% American if not impossible ". Never said anything about foreign components.

Falken wildpeaks are notorious for being hard to balance and out of round. Take a gander at the Yokohama g03. Much better mt tire.
I think this has improved in the last year. My tire shop said they have balanced a few sets of 37's (including mine) with minimal issues. I had more problems with my 35" coopers.

ditto, if given a choice I will always choose USA. while not always possible when it is that is the way I go.

I've got the Wildpeaks AT3s and have just hit 20k on them, still have a ton of tread on them too. NO Complaints. Excellent in rain/snow/ mild offroad. I've had the Duratracs and they were horrible and didn't even make 20k miles before being feathered/out of balance and slippery on rain.

Look at the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT and AT tires. US tire. Strong and quite due to the tread design used. Great rubber compound. Great wet traction. Many sizes of the AT are 3-peak snow rated. I had two sets of Falken AT3Ws on Jeep and a truck and loved them. I like the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss even more!

I want to find a set of mt baja bosses in the new size 255/85-17 a really skinny 35” tire.
